Green Guide’s Redesigned Website Now On-line

sitethumbnail.jpgBring out the virtual champagne! We are excited to announce that at 1pm ET on May 24, 2010, the Green Guide launched its newly restructured and user-friendly website, following a 10-month development period. We welcome back our 32,000+ registrants and over 225 project teams. We thank you for your patience through this process.

The new website came to life through our collaboration with David Gerratt of DG Communications (www.NonprofitDesign.com) with Michael Snow providing technical expertise. Your existing login and password will provide access to the updated and substantially expanded world of the Green Guide. You will now have ready access to the Green Guide for Health Care™ core documents — the Design & Construction and revised Operations sections — and much more.  Link to our updated library of Resources, and participate in Green Guide Events and activities! Register a Project. Become a Supporter

So take a tour of the new Green Guide for Health Care™ website and rediscover your role in accelerating healthcare’s transformation towards high performance healing environments. Key features of the new site include a new Forum on Green Healthcare Construction, case study upload/access capabilities, and alternative ways for you to support the work of the Green Guide. As a website registrant, you will have access to a multitude of online user benefits. As a member of a registered project team, you can track your project’s greening activities. Everyone enriches our ever-growing learning community of green health care facilities and the people who design, construct and operate them.

Pass the word. Share this site. Accelerate the greening of healthcare. The Green Guide website has evolved, and is ready to support your initiatives towards high performance healing environments.

Green Guide Launches v2.2 Operations Pilot

The Green Guide for Health Care welcomes our Operations Pilot project teams that have joined this first-of-its-kind one-year program, conducted in collaboration with Practice Greenhealth! The Green Guide for Health Care’s Operations Pilot program is open to healthcare organizations engaged in green operations initiatives, based on Green Guide v2.2 Operations section.
The purpose of the Pilot program is to engage a diverse group of health care facility project teams to ‘test drive’ the Green Guide v2.2 Operations credits and report on their experiences over a one-year period. This will inform the future revision of the Operations section, refine development of templates and reporting tools, and allow us to sharpen the performance metrics.  We also will be able to aggregate performance data to better understand  trends and patterns as healthcare organizations implement the broad spectrum of operations-related strategies included in the Green Guide v2.2 Operations section.
The value of the Pilot program is to be a leader engaged in a community of practice of like-minded hospital people interested in the same work. Find out more about the v2.2 Operations Pilot Program at www.gghc.org/pilot.about.php!
