Protein World Keto Fat Metaboliser Review

Updated on November 8, 2021 by Tina Clark

Protein World Keto Fat Metaboliser is a fat metabolising supplement that can help men and women with weight loss. This product helps to promote ketosis, which is the process in which your body breaks down fats instead of carbohydrates for energy. Does it work, read the review.

Protein World Keto Fat Metaboliser

PROS
Reputable manufacturer
Some good ingredients
May boost metabolism
Could aid weight loss

CONS
Contains Caffeine
Questionable keto target
Guarantee not clear

VERDICT
Protein World Keto Fat Metaboliser appears to be a caffeine-driven fat burner masquerading as a keto-friendly diet pill. It would be easy to mistake a caffeine rush for an influx of energy due to extra ketones.

In our opinion there are superior fat burners on the market.

Protein World Keto Fat Metaboliser

If there were a prize for the diet pill with the most colorful label, Protein World Keto Fat Metabolizer could be a winner. Its striking bands appear to contain all the colors of the rainbow.

However, it’s not the label on the bottle customers are paying for, it’s the pills inside. That’s what this review is about.

The pills housed in the striped bottle are push-together capsules that have 10 active ingredients inside. Vegans and vegetarians will be happy to learn the capsule casing is made from hydroxypropylmethylcellulose and there are no animal extracts inside.

The Protein World website describes the product as a “metabolism booster with added MCTs.”

MCTs (medium-chain triglycerides) are good for boosting energy. They are seen as keto-friendly because the liver converts them to ketones quite rapidly.

To be honest, as far as the ingredients go, this product is very similar to Protein World Metabolism Booster. Protein World has made a couple of other small tweaks to the formulation but the main difference between the two products is Protein World Keto Fat Metaboliser contains MCTs to justify the claim that it’s keto-friendly.

The Keto Diet is very popular. Manufacturers know that using the word “keto” in relation to any of their products will help improve sales. That appears to be what’s happening here.

Protein World Keto Fat Metaboliser Benefits

Protein World doesn’t make many claims for its Keto-friendly fat metabolizer. It provides very little information about it at all.

The sales page on the company website provides a few brief paragraphs of text, a list of ingredients, and the option to buy. That’s pretty much it.

However, the first sentence in the product description states the pills aid the breakdown of fats and boost energy to help stop you from feeling tired.

How Does Keto Fat Metaboliser Work

Protein World doesn’t explain how the ingredients are likely to help you to lose fat and stop feeling tired. It appears to just expect its customers to take its word for it.

However, the formulation contains a high dose of caffeine.

Caffeine is good for providing energy and, as with the best energy drinks, there are some B Vitamins in the formulation as well.

Protein World Keto Fat Metaboliser also has some metabolism boosters to help you to burn more calories than you would normally burn.

How to Use Protein World Keto Fat Metaboliser

You start by taking one capsule in the morning and another in the afternoon. The capsules should always be taken with meals.

If you are overly sensitive to caffeine may have to reduce the dose to just one capsule per day.

Presuming there are no side effects, from the second week onwards, you can begin taking the standard dose of two capsules each morning and two in the afternoon.

Ingredient Profile

Each 2-capsule serving provides:

  • Vitamin B6 (5.6 mg)
  • Vitamin B12 (25 µg)
  • Medium Chain Triglycerides (200 mg)
  • Caffeine Anhydrous (200 mg)
  • Green Tea Extract (200 mg)
  • L-Tyrosine (200 mg)
  • Guarana Extract (150 mg)
  • Choline (82.5 mg)
  • Alpha Lipoic Acid (100 mg)
  • Cayenne Powder (50 mg)

What the Ingredients Do

Vitamin B6 (5.6 mg) + Vitamin B12 (25 µg)

These two B vitamins are often paired in energy drinks because they are so good at helping your body extract energy from food.

They are also key players in red blood cell production. The red cells have the job of carrying oxygen around your body. If you don’t produce enough of them you become prone to anemia and fatigue.

Medium Chain Triglycerides (200 mg)

The Ketone Diet is a low-carb diet that aims to make you switch from glucose to ketones as a primary source of fuel. There are arguments for and against this type of diet but the subject is too complex to go into here.

The Keto Diet is associated with several health benefits. Weight loss is one of them.

Diet pills are not a substitute for the Keto Diet but MCTs may work well alongside it helping to increase the level of ketones circulating in your blood, giving your energy levels a boost.

However, this is an area that requires further study. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7005013/

Caffeine Anhydrous (200 mg)

Caffeine is a stimulant that boosts energy and mental focus. Each capsule provides as much caffeine as a couple of cups of coffee.

If you take two capsules, twice a day, you will get 800 mg of caffeine. That’s twice the safe recommended daily amount. https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/in-depth/caffeine/art-20045678

In addition to its other abilities, caffeine is also a proven fat burner. Its value in this regard fades as tolerance increases but caffeine can provide a very credible metabolism boost.

Green Tea Extract (200 mg)

Green tea provides antioxidants that help keep you well. It’s a very healthy beverage to drink.

The antioxidants in green tea also increase energy expenditure, helping you to burn extra fat. https://academic.oup.com/ajcn/article/70/6/1040/4729179

L-Tyrosine (200 mg)

An amino acid that’s necessary for muscle growth and may also have a beneficial effect on your mood.

Guarana Extract (150 mg)

Guarana is a tropical berry that’s rich in caffeine. Does this formulation need more caffeine? Absolutely not.

Choline (82.5 mg)

Choline is an essential nutrient that’s present in egg yolks and organ meat. You can also top up your choline levels by eating broccoli or Brussels sprouts.

Although it’s not one of the more popular ingredients, choline is sometimes added to fat burners. Research involving female athletes suggests choline may provide significant fat loss. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4096089/

Unfortunately, the amount provided here is much too low. The women in the study were getting two grams of choline per day.

Alpha Lipoic Acid (100 mg)

ALA is a vitamin-like antioxidant that assists the breakdown of carbohydrates. It’s a strange choice for this formulation because keto is about switching your body to ketones instead of the glucose provided by carbs.

Cayenne Powder (50 mg)

Cayenne pepper is a source of capsaicin. It provides the fruit with its heat.

Capsaicin is a natural appetite suppressant. It further assists weight loss by boosting metabolism and thermogenesis. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3699483/

If this formulation had a little more cayenne and a lot less caffeine, it would be less likely to cause side effects and more likely to provide long-term weight loss support.

Protein World Keto Fat Metaboliser Customer Reviews

The Protein World website is the main source of customer reviews. This is not ideal because it has to be regarded as a biased source.

Some customers say the pills are effective for weight loss. Others praise their energy-boosting capabilities.

Known Side Effects

None of the customer reviews on the Protein World website mention side effects but the pills contain a high dose of caffeine, so side effects may be an issue.

Caffeine-related side effects may include:

  • Jitters
  • Nausea
  • Headaches
  • Anxiety
  • Insomnia
  • Racing heartbeat

Using the pills alongside other sources of caffeine, such as tea or coffee, will greatly increase the chance of side effects.

Order and Purchasing Options

Although there are several other options, including Boots and Amazon, it’s generally easiest to buy Protein World products via the official website.

Each bottle of Keto Fat Metaboliser provides a 30-day supply of pills. If you make a one-time purchase, it will cost you £19.99 per bottle (information accurate at the time of this review).

Unless you spend more than £50 there’s also an additional shipping charge. It’s £5 for delivery to addresses in the UK. Charges increase considerably for overseas shipping and may be prohibitively expensive if your home country is a long way from the UK.

Protein World also offers an auto-ship option called Subscribe & Save that entails significant discounts.

If you choose to go this route, you can have one or more bottles of Protein World Keto Fat Metaboliser delivered once every four, six, or eight weeks.

Guarantee

Protein World does not provide a money-back guarantee but you can get a refund for unopened products if you return them within 14 days.

All returns must be accompanied by the official returns form that’s available as a download on the Protein World website.

Protein World Keto Fat Metaboliser: The Bottom Line

Protein World Keto Fat Metaboliser appears to be a caffeine-driven fat burner masquerading as a keto-friendly diet pill. It would be easy to mistake a caffeine rush for an influx of energy due to extra ketones.

MCTs may boost ketone levels, but their ability to do so in humans requires further study. Nevertheless, the ketone connection is there.

Protein World Keto Fat Metaboliser contains green tea and cayenne, both of which are proven metabolism boosters. It has genuine value as a weight loss aid.

However, Protein World Keto Fat Metaboliser is unlikely to offer much help with appetite control. Cayenne suppresses hunger but the dose is quite low and, in this formulation, it has to go it alone.

That’s a problem. Hunger is a major obstacle. Many dieters stumble and fall. That’s why all the top diet pills place such a strong emphasis on keeping appetite under control.

Although the lack of appetite suppressants is an issue, the biggest problem here is the high caffeine content. There’s a strong risk of side effects.

If you have an unusually high tolerance, you may be able to handle all that caffeine without any problems. If so, you will be able to enjoy extra energy along with improvements in fat burning.

However, as your body adapts to the presence of caffeine, the benefits will decrease.

Although Protein World Keto Fat Metaboliser is relatively cheap to buy, it doesn’t compare well to the top-rated diet pills, all of which have money-back guarantees.

Alternatives to Keto Fat Metaboliser

There are several supplements that are comparable to Keto Fat Metaboliser. Perhaps the closest is Keto Charge – KetoCharge is a powerful dietary supplement for people who want to enjoy all the benefits of the Keto Diet without having to eat keto-friendly meals.

Luna Trim is another diet supplement that claims to burn fat cells. There are certain caveats that you should bear in mind though!

LeanBean – a female fat burner that is proving to be one of the most popular women’s weight loss supplements on the market.
